Booking and Cancellation Policy

Booking

You may request accommodation in any of our member properties by telephone, by sending us a regular e-mail or via our online booking system.

In case the requested accommodation should not be available, Select Small Hotels will suggest alternative accommodation in the vicinity, if possible..

Deposit

In general, our members request a guarantee equal to one night’s accommodation. Any deviation from this policy will be noted in the Cancellation Policy section of the online booking system for that hotel. Most hotels accept Visa and MasterCard, some will also accept American Express. This will be noted on their information page.

Normally your credit card will not be charged unless you cancel the booking within the cancellation period.

Confirmation

Reservations made by telephone or email will be confirmed by return email, fax or regular mail. Should your arrival time be delayed for any reason you must contact the hotel directly.

Cancellation

Should you be forced to cancel a reservation:
Each hotel has different cancellation policies as detailed on their individual page.
Select Small Hotels cannot be responsible for changes and cancellations beyond its control, such as flood, fire, earthquake, wars etc. Trip cancellation insurance is advised to cover such problems.

Complaints

We personally inspect each property and do our best to provide an accurate description of the facility. If you have any concerns about your accommodation after your arrival we will be pleased to discuss them with you during your stay. However, NO reimbursements will be made based on complaints or comments received after your stay in the accommodation has been completed.

Changes in rates

Any changes in rates or terms of payment due to special offers or special periods during the year (such as holidays) will be clearly noted on our web site as well as on your reservation form.
